For the area this place isn't bad. It's located in what's referred to as the square and is convenient to access. The place is cozy without feeling small. Dimly lit but not creepy, again more intimate. What I like best is the outdoor seating. You can either stay inside and listen to the DJ or step out onto the patio to chat and have drinks

We go here every so often. Sunday evening is so nice, Not a lot of people. The food is excellent. Decor rustic and modern. Patio in warmer months great place to hang out. I love the martini list and my husband enjoys all the micro brew beers.

My first time at Zodiac. My drink (Aries martini) and starters (hummus with pita and cheese flight) were on point but the dinner meals and service were terrible. The waitress was very sassy and rude, got our order incorrect, and we had to remind her to fill our drinks and perform basic tasks. I would recommend this place for drinks and a snack but definitely not for dinner.

The atmosphere was nice and cozy, there were some windows open and there was good music on. The waiter was sort of rude and was not knowledgable about the menu and acted like he could care less if we spent our money there which I will say for sure me and my lunch partner will not return even though the food was good. The food and the service is better at Sip which is just south around the corner. The food can be good but if your service sucks you will eventually see sales drop. It was not worth the cost of going the for how slow it was and how disconnected the server seemed.

Quite possibly one of Crown Point Indiana's best restaurants that fly a little under-the-radar. Great staff, excellent service and delicious food...

Went here for lunch it was really good! Food was really good. Tried everything out group had gotten. Hummus, Pot roast sandwich, BBQ and Buffalo Chicken pizza. All exceptionally good. Also for an app get the pork wings. They are amazing. Only thing that wasn't was the fish and chips. A bit overdone. Overall they have a nice beer and wine selection and a full bar. The outside patio is great however when we went, there was a noise ordinance or something against them and they weren't letting people outside. We went anyway. They should get a lawyer to look at that. I don't think its legal to have a downtown business with a patio and have a noise ordinance restricting your business.

Love this place! All the bartenders are super friendly and accommodating. Food is excellent, we've never had a bad meal there, and we're here pretty frequently. I always recommend Zodiac of we can't decide where to go!

Went there about 10:30 on a Friday night with a group of my friends for my bachelorette party. Luckily the plan was to go around the square. The place was not very crowded but it was hard to get through to the bar because people were hanging out with the bartenders. I finally got my drink and my friends and I went outside. We had a waitress that came over and we ordered drinks... After 15 minutes we got sick of waiting (the place was not crowded) and we left. I changed my star rating and gave them another star because I came back for lunch. I was a little upset that my friend wanted to come here but she insisted the food is good. It was pretty dead inside but the guy that waited on us was attentive. I got a stuffed burger that was very tasty with a side of pasta salad which was also very good!! My friend's lunch was a salad of some sort and looked delicious too. We both got Martinis from the Zodiac menu. They have drinks for every astrological sign. We got the Aquarius Martini and it was amazing. I'm glad I came here during the day. I won't come back at night but will come during the day.

Great place to check out during the summer when you can sit on their outdoor dining area. Drinks & food are great, their hummus is one of the best I have ever had. Super smoky though hence my summer-time recommendation.

This is absolutely a townie fishing bowl combined with a heavily used ashtray. The prices were fair and they do cater to live music. If you smoke, this would be a great place, if you don't smoke, steer clear. The staff was friendly and helpful, but man, I cannot express enough how bad this place smells like an ashtray. They have a smoking and a non-smoking section, but it is separated by air only and there is no actual barrier to stop the inevitable. Turn the cigs off, and I'll be back.

Looked nice. Sat in the bar area for 10 minutes. Several employees walked by me. Not one said a word to me. I left. Bad customer service? How about NO customer service. Good luck with that.

For a while there, we were starting to become regulars at Zodiac Lounge, but one bad experience really flipped the script for us. A little background: my gang really liked to day drink on Fridays during the summer....we'd hook up around lunch and eat some tasty food and have a few drinks. It was a wonderful time, and Zodiac was one of our favorite places to do it. Sure, the service was sometimes a little flakey, but the food was always excellent, the drink selections were plentiful, and the patio had great atmosphere. Some highlights were: their "apple cider whiskey" shots, and the pork wings. One of my buddies liked the wings so much he almost cried. But then, one day in July, we went and it was like everything went wrong. The server was dour and inattentive, they were seemingly out of every single thing we wanted to drink, we were told that we "needed to keep it down if you're going to be on the patio", and, worst of all, when our food came, one of the pretzel buns was covered in mold. Not a spot of mold, mind you. Covered. We marveled at how it got out of the kitchen, as besotted with mold as it was. I am officially off pretzel buns forever after seeing that bun. It's a struggle to even eat pretzels. Now, sure, you could write one or even two of those things off and give the place another chance, but the combination of factors all at once pretty much ended our association with Zodiac. It is too bad, really. It was a fun place for a while. But, there's too many options for day drinking places in our area to bother.

Went "after hours." Interior is nice. Non-smoking. However, the bartender was unbelievably rude. Rolled her eyes when she had to stop talking to her friends to get us a drink. Nothing about the place is great enough to put up with unwarranted rude service.

This was a surprising treat! I'm always looking for a good place to eat outside of Chicago and Zodiac did the trick. I had the mac ans cheese pizza which was awesome, and my fiance had the Portobello mushroom bleu cheese shared plate. It was also excellent. There was only one employee since we were there at an odd time, and he did an amazing job. I'll be back with more people!

Zodiac has been non-smoking for over a year. You cannot smoke inside the bar or restaurant whatsoever. Good beer selection. Great food. Nice staff. A regular spot for me and my friends to go...consistantly good.

The hummus is good. I'm a fan of the Caesar salad, as well. The place was deserted at 7:30 on a Saturday. That was a little strange.

Bar hopping in CP on a Saturday afternoon. The bartender was busy but friendly. The chef was behind the bar and was very nice. They had a $5 martini special - nice - something with Acia juice. The place looked pretty clean and the sofa-table-chair arrangements were pleasant. We didn't eat but I would return as long as there wasn't a band.

I love this place! Went every week for lunch before I started working full-time again (oh- the benefits of being a stay at home mom). I love the weekly specials- and the servers (90 % of them) are wonderful! The hummus is so good, I take it to friends houses when going for a party or just to watch a movie!

Cool food selection and has potential, but I don't know if they were drunk when cooking our food and while serving. My food was good, but my wife's food came out rare and our server was a big dingbat. I think she was buzzed or drunk. Idiot. Hopefully they have got rid of her.

This charming Mediterranean style lounge is definitely one of my favorite picks in the square. Be it lunch, after work or its nightlife scene, Zodiac has yet to disappoint. The food is considered authentic, from there hummus to the grilled chicken kabobs and my favorite the baked feta cheese, which tickles my palette with its sweet and savory flavors. Not to leave out Zodiac's version of The Skinny Girl Margarita which is made with Agave nectar to balance out the calories of us girls always paying attention to our caloric intake? I believe Zodiac Lounge is a great addition to the square. If you don't want to take my word for it ask around or stop in and see for yourself.

stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and was steered toward some very nice beer choices. Didn't have a full lunch, but the appetizers we ordered (antipasto and "pork wings") were delicious. Friendly attentive service. We'll be back.

Yummy Food & Drinks with outdoor patio area. Greek owned by same family that owns the Main Street Cafe in town. Lively nightclub at night with Chicago DJ's and other entertainment depending on night of week.

Nice little spot, right across the street from the iconic Hub Bootery on Main Street. (not quite on the Square) To be honest, I didn't see much of the place, just sat down and had a really great beer with friends. They have some nifty craft brews, I had a delicious IPA from Delaware. ( of all places!) The music was old style, as in Sinatra. The beer was cold, the mugs were frosty and the service was attentive. I went to several bars while I as in CP this past week, and this is the only bar I would return to.

We stopped in for lunch, don't really know the area, it was the first place we looked at the menu. We ordered the spinach and berry salad, hummus, a side salad and side of pasta salad. Everything we had was really good, nice and fresh and huge portions for the price. I wish I had taken pictures.

For starters, there was no one else eating, but a few people at the bar when our party of two arrived. The waiter was rude but I don't think he even meant to be, he just had no idea how to wait on people, but at any rate, he had no business doing it. We placed our orders which consisted of a sandwich, a burger and a bowl of fries. It took them just shy of 45 minutes to get the food out and the waiter only asked how things were once while he was walking past, didn't even take the time to stop and ask. The burger was hot but that was it, the potato wedges were literally cold still. Not like they were hot and got room temperature, no, they were actually cold. The panini was almost burnt and those wedges were also still not cooked. The bowl of fries was supposed to be "topped with cheese" but was actually just half melted cheese sticks cut up into cubes and thrown on top. It was clear the food was all from Gordon's or Sysco and just churched up. Needless to say the food and service was far beyond sub par and and I will not be going there again or recommending anyone there. From what I've been told though, they make an alright martini.

Horrible. Limited menu. Service is worse than any college bar I've ever frequented. The staff all appeared to be of age but acted like high school kids. Inappropriate language, no care for customers, smoking....

I've been here many times now & I'm confident I've got a good handle on their vibe... The atmosphere here is really low-key & laid back~ great for hanging with friends or schmoozing a new client! There are plenty of specials & the prices are fair to midland too. I'm a Vegan & I'm ecstatic to say they very happily accommodated me! I asked questions about the food & preparation- they obliged and helped me come up with substitutions that are FANTASTIC! I can't say enough about this place. The Zodiac Lounge has become our favorite spot!
